Bolívar Brass Trio
Comprised of distinguished soloists from the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela: Víctor Caldera, Alejandro Díaz, and Igor Martínez, the Bolívar Brass Trio breaks traditional chamber music boundaries. With a unique instrumentation (Trumpet, Trombone, and Tuba), the ensemble offers a sonic experience ranging from classical repertoire and film scores to Rock and Tango, demonstrating limitless versatility.
Under the creative vision of Igor Martínez, the trio celebrated its first anniversary with the world premiere of the Concerto for Brass Trio and Orchestra, expanding the repertoire for this formation. A testament to the trio's versatility is its optional quartet format: the Bolívar Brass Quartet.
Their international career has taken them to prestigious venues such as the Mariinsky II Theatre (St. Petersburg), Zaryad'ye Hall (Moscow), the Carinthische Musikakademie (Austria), the Kurhaus Merano (Italy), and the Henri Mortier Hall (Paris).
Deeply committed to education, its members possess vast pedagogical experience, teaching from the "núcleos" of El Sistema to the conservatory level. They are Artists for the prestigious brands Schagerl, Thein, and Wessex Tubas.
